🧪 Potion Forge — Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Forge Studios ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you play Potion Forge (the "App"), available on Google Play for Android devices.

By installing or playing Potion Forge you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App and discontinue use.

2. Information We Collect

We do not operate our own servers or user accounts. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personally identifiable information directly.

The following limited data is processed by the App or our third-party partners:

• Advertising Google AdMob may collect your device's Advertising ID, IP address, device model, OS version, app usage data, and coarse location in order to serve and measure advertisements.
• Purchases In-app purchases (hints, coins, remove ads) are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment details.
• Game Data Your level progress, coins, hints, settings (colorblind mode, sound), and daily reward streak are stored locally on your device only using Android SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your device.
• Notifications If you grant notification permission, the App schedules a daily reminder using the Android AlarmManager. No notification data is sent to our servers.
• Crash & Analytics Basic gameplay events (level started, level completed, ad shown) are logged for internal debugging. No data that identifies you personally is included.

3. How We Use Information

• To serve relevant or non-personalised advertisements via Google AdMob.
• To allow Google Play to process your in-app purchases securely.
• To save and restore your game progress on the same device.
• To deliver optional daily play-reminder notifications.
• To analyse aggregate (non-personal) gameplay data so we can improve the App.

4. Advertising — Google AdMob

Potion Forge displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob (Google Privacy Policy). AdMob may use cookies, pixels, and the Android Advertising ID to show ads that are relevant to you.

When you first launch the App (if you are in a region subject to GDPR or similar laws), you will see a consent form powered by the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). You may choose personalised ads, non-personalised ads, or manage your choices at any time via Settings → Privacy Settings on your Android device.

You can opt out of interest-based advertising globally by resetting or opting out of your Android Advertising ID: Android Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID.

5. In-App Purchases

Optional purchases (e.g. hint packs, coin bundles, Remove Ads) are processed by Google Play Billing. Your payment information is handled solely by Google. We receive only a confirmation that a purchase was completed and the SKU identifier — never credit card or bank details.

6. Children's Privacy

Potion Forge is designed for a general audience aged 9 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App does not ask for a name, email, or any registration. Advertising is served by Google AdMob subject to Google's Families Policy for apps targeting mixed or younger audiences. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal data should contact us (see Section 10) and we will take steps to delete it promptly.

7. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information. We may share information only in these limited cases:

• Service providers: Google (AdMob, Play Billing) as described above.
• Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
• Business transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition, user data (which is minimal) may be transferred as part of that transaction.

8. Data Retention

Game progress data is stored locally on your device for as long as the App is installed. You can delete all local data by uninstalling the App or clearing App data via Android Settings → Apps → Potion Forge → Storage → Clear Data.

AdMob data retention is governed by Google's own retention policies.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding personal data:

• Access & Portability: Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data (game data can be deleted by clearing App storage; advertising data requests should be directed to Google).
• Opt-out of personalised ads: Via Android Advertising ID settings or the in-app consent prompt.
• California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. For significant changes we will notify you via an in-app notice or a Google Play store update note. Continued use of the App after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
